Build a New Website

What you need to start the process:

If you want help with this part, I can provide guidance and assistance

What I need from you before I begin:

  • All copy ready to go (main content, contact info, blurbs, taglines, quotes)
  • All images gathered in one place available to send or upload (the larger the better – prefer minimum 1400px wide)
  • Any artwork / branding ready to go (headers, logos, etc)
  • What pages / menu items you want to include to start (eg. Home, About, Contact, Specific to Business)
  • If you know what theme you want (if not, what type of design do you like)
  • Any preferred accent colours (not required but helpful – Webcode or RGB is best)
  • A list of any links you would like to include
  • Last, but not least, Login Information

If this section seems scary or overwhelming to first timers, I can walk you through it and we can start small

Rebuild an Existing Website
What you need to start the process:

  • If you’re updating a live domain that you want to keep live during the upgrade, you’ll need to create a subdomain to build the new version

Below are some of the most common applications I use.  If you don’t see something in this list that you use in your business, it won’t take me long to figure it out.  I will also try to regularly update to keep my list current with my experience.

Online software applications that I currently use:

  • MailChimp – Initial setup, campaigns, update, add, import and manage subscribers
  • Facebook – Site admin, page & group setup, organic shares, artwork,
  • Canva – create graphics for various uses
  • Anything Google – If it’s google related, I’ve probably used it
  • Wix, Weebly, WordPress – I have experience with other website platforms, these are the most commonly used
  • Trello – Application used mainly for system & task management
  • Typeform – Online forms / questionnaires that integrate with Zapier
  • Schedulicity – Monitor appointments, send confirmation emails, follow-up with clients, daily tasks, set meeting links, etc.
  • Zapier – set zaps with all necessary elements
  • PicMonkey – create / update existing artwork
  • Zoom – Set meetings, share recordings
Calendar / Schedule Support
If you have an online scheduling system I can:

  • Assist by checking for upcoming appointments and complete any associated follow-up actions
  • Communicate any important / necessary information

All email responses are in a professional manner, with a signature that generally includes “My Name” from the “Virtual Assistant Desk” of “Your Business Name”. Exact signature to be determined.

Proofreading
Do you need a second set of eyes to read over your work before posting or printing?  I’ve got a pretty good eye for proper grammar and spelling.
Travel Research & Booking
If you find yourself too busy to research your own travel and lodging arrangements, I can do that for you.  Research will be based on your travel preferences.  I can also book everything for you, or leave that up to you.
